Investigations Service Standards
NSIRA’s service standards set time limits within which certain investigative steps for each type of complaint should be accomplished under normal circumstances. They can be found here:
What If the Complainant Is Not Satisfied with NSIRA’s Investigation?
After the complainant receives the declassified report, if they are not satisfied with the investigation, they may choose to challenge the decision. This involves filing an application for judicial review before the Federal Court, which results in a public-facing proceeding.
