This means that Canadian citizens, permanent residents, persons present in Canada, or corporations can, formally or informally, request records under the control of the National Security and Intelligence Review Agency Secretariat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"\/en\/secretariat\/access-to-information-and-privacy\/annual-reports-atip#information-act\"><em>Access to Information Act<\/em>&nbsp;Annual Reports<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/open.canada.ca\/en\/search\/ati?ati%5B0%5D=ati_organization_en%3ANational%20Security%20and%20Intelligence%20Review%20Agency\">Completed Access to Information Requests<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/laws-lois.justice.gc.ca\/eng\/acts\/P-21\/index.html\"><em>Privacy Act<\/em><\/a>&nbsp;governs the collection, use, disclosure and retention of personal information and gives all individuals in Canada access to information about themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"\/en\/secretariat\/access-to-information-and-privacy\/annual-reports-atip#privacy-act\"><em>Privacy Act<\/em>&nbsp;Annual Reports<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"\/en\/secretariat\/access-to-information-and-privacy\/privacy-impact-assessment-summaries\/\">Privacy Impact Assessment Summaries<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"\/en\/secretariat\/access-to-information-and-privacy\/info-source\/\">InfoSource<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"\/en\/secretariat\/access-to-information-and-privacy\/privacy-statement\/\">Privacy Statement<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading h3\">How to make a Written Access to Information Request<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To make an Access to Information request for information held by the NSIRA Secretariat, you may complete the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tbs-sct.gc.ca\/tbsf-fsct\/350-57-eng.asp\">Access to Information Request Form<\/a>&nbsp;or send a letter to the ATIP Office mentioning the Act and describing the information you are seeking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For requests for information held by other government institutions, including portfolio agencies, please refer to the list of departmental&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tbs-sct.gc.ca\/atip-aiprp\/apps\/coords\/index-eng.asp\">Access to Information and Privacy Coordinators<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An application fee of $5 applies and additional costs may be charged. You may send the application fee in the form of cash, a cheque or a money order made payable to the Receiver General for Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This application fee entitles you to five hours of search and preparation time for the requested records.
